Disengagement from Relationships, Adult Attachment, Trauma and Dysregulation
This one day workshop explores the concepts of disengagement. The initiator and the recipient, the decisions and the avoidance, the endings and re-entries. This one day course introduces the Child-Centred Continuum Model. The program highlights children as "parties to" rather than "objects of" the family law and child protection systems. The day starts from the premise that children are active participants in family systems even when adults attempt to protect them from negative elements of those systems.
