A free service for people whose family law case is in the Federal Circuit Court in Darwin or Alice Springs on that day and who do not have a lawyer.  It is only available on days that the Court has a duty list.  If possible, it is best to contact the NT Legal Aid Commission for a FREE legal advice appointment before the day your case is in Court by calling the Legal Aid Helpline on 1800 019 343.

  • legal advice and information
  • completing simple forms
  • asking for an adjournment
  • negotiations with the other party
  • writing up orders that you agree on
  • urgent recovery of children
  • representing you in Court on the day.
